Not updated in a while. Just off the back of a bad streak! Bad GUKPT culminating in a loss of 1200 for that week! Had a few terrible beats late in tournaments for big chips, then struggled to overcome my tilt! Been grinding on virgin recently. Im toying with the idea of grinding .50/1 PLO. Had some good results this past week with minimal variance! Really enjoy playin this variation and have been watching quite alot of videos on PokerSavvy+ on it! If anybody has any good book recommendations on the topic please inform me! ROI is looking pretty good aswell on virgin! Im up on tournaments since i started playing on virgin around $2400. Im also struggling to workout my bankroll management in relation to money won going into poker bankroll and living expenses! If anyone is available to give any advice on this subject it would be greatly appreciated! Anyways, im back to grinding these MTT donkaments for the evening!

Episode one begins, I\’m Michael, 20 year old student living in Salford, Manchester! I\’m in my second year at university and have been playin poker since i was 17. I lived in Ireland for a few years but this is my home now, and since returning, all I\’v ever wanted to do is play poker. I guess i can say i\’v experienced going broke a few times, but i always end up gettin crucial wins at the right time, this year though has gone really well for me and i\’v finally got myself a steady bankroll of £3000 of which to build on. I have a pretty close circle of friends who only live for basically the same things…Football related banter, poker and of course weekends!

Untill recently iv achieved quite regular cashes on WillHill poker. Cashing big in the 35k is my highlight winning close to £6500. I also recently took down a $12500 tourney on Betfred for like £2500. These results have cleared my debts, and let me set up a sufficeint bankroll to start taking poker more seriously! Im struggling just atm trying to find a site that suits me. Hills on the crypto server was just so easy to use and i guess i just need to explore different avenues.

Couple of live events coming up I\’m playing in the UKSPC in Birmingham next week, which i\’m treating primarily as a satelite for a WSOP seat. The prize money is like 1500 for the top 2 but the winner getting a package to vegas! The day after that finishes i\’m playing in the Virgin poker festival in Newcastle in which quite a few of my friends have qualified for also, think the winner in that gets close to 10k so april could be quite a good month if i do well!

Meanwhile, my goals for 2009 are pretty simple really.

• Take my Bankroll up towards the 10k mark
• Play my first GUKPT Main Event
• Be able to play full evening schedule of MTT\’s on various sites

I\’m also probs going to talk about non-poker related stuff such as my lack of motivation for university, my frustration at never getting away tickets for Man Utd and just about anythin else!
